Default Thinking of Getting a Z, need information

Hey there,

I'm looking into buying a 350z in the spring and wanted to do some research on the issues, model differences and best bang for you buck before I went out and purchased one.

Basically I'm looking at picking one up used. Under the 24k price point (Keep in mind I'm from Canada so it costs more). I do plan on modifying a lot of the car, suspension, engine, ext/interior, so this could mean that possibly a lower model with less upgrades such as bigger brakes or something could be a possibility.

Anyways just looking for some more information about whats a better year to buy, what things I should look at when buying as far as defects are concerned, what recalls I should know about. And anything in general that I should know prior to buying this kind of car.

Seems like my350z.com is fairly knowledgeable and if I do get this car I will spend quite some time on this site. So any information and help would be great. Thanks!

Well that gives you 5 months to read and learn about the 350Z.

Yeah I read through that. I was just wondering more along the lines of defects or model problems I should be aware about when considering a purchase, and perhaps how to check for said problems. I just want to make sure they aren't full of issues and I stay away from the model years that are.
