Ok i have a question that has plagued me for a while.. What happens to those few z's that never get purchased during their production year.. To be sure that every Z that is made gets sold.. Do they recycle them??

 

NO they do get sold, at a lower price most of the time just to get them off the lot.

 

I understand that they are probably wholesaled out..used for rentals etc...

Well smart guy, i guess i was bored sitting here in Iraq and wanted to throw out a stupid question, but also figured there would be OTHER possibilities...however nice contribution to the post...

 

Yeah, my dealership just sends the leftover 07 models to the internet/fleet dept and they post them like crazy on Ebay, autotrader, craigslist, and their own website inventory until they are sold. Of course, if someone walked on the lot and wanted the leftover stock, they'd sell it outright for a discontinued price.

 

Nissan uses the parts to fix your car.

 

Some dealers just hold on to them, hoping for someone who will still pay the full price for last year's model -- without knowing any better.

 

A local dealer has a record number of Zs for their lot.... they have 2 used 04's, 2 07 convertables, 1 08 coupe, sold their last 06 in October....

About 2 months ago there was still a couple 06's on the lot at my local dealer. I'll be there tomorrow and see if they still have one or two.

 

Could be worse... Atleast your not flying in the DRC!
