rebates
I just bought a new 2007 ZR last week. Did all 2007 350Z Roadsters have rebates? Was there a date that the rebate expired, or does it stay with the 2007 until it is sold?
When I asked about the rebate, he said no this car didnt have a rebate, and then he told me that if it did, i would have to sign it (the rebate) over, that was his way of telling me to trust him.
Did I get scammed>?

Rebates don't generally follow the life of the car. They're based on a certain calendar period. Like, "Now 'till the end of...".
As far as you "having" to sign over the rebate, that's baloney. If you're financing the car, it's a good idea since in lowers your overall price. Sometimes, however, they do have "factory-to-dealer" incentives that you'd never see. I've had dealers kind of "forget" to mention those kind of incentives though.

Nissan does at times offer rebates on specific vehicles. But with selling prices being variable, I see no windfall for the buyer with a rebate deal. The dealer is going to make his money one way or another.
This weekend almost all Nissans have a $500 holiday cash rebate, but there is no Feb. purchase rebates on 350Z. There is a sizable amount of manufacturer-to-dealer support on these cars, which would not show as a rebate if the dealer chose to pass it along to you.
It is true that you have to sign a rebate form. Rebates are subject to change at any time. Manufacturer payouts can be said to follow the car until it is sold, but they are not really a consumer entitlement.
