The 'O4.5 one's turned out to be more reliable than the older twin brother. With every issue, the car's gotten better & better, with the exception of the
'O6 one, which has oil-consumption issues, though not all of 'em. Good luck.

 

The main thing as far as i'm concerned between the 04 and 04.5 was the rear springs. They are stiffer in the back for the 04.5 which means its going to handle better

 

Check the interior. The 04.5 has pads on the sides of the center console.
