Pricing the Z
hey all
went to the dealership (Hall Nissan - Virginia Beach) yesterday to compare pricing.
this is what i came up with.
adjusted market value markup was 1600 over msrp.
msrp was about 10% over invoice.
it cost me 2 hours of haggling to get the gsm to show me the invoice papers and come down to a nickel over invoice.
so for anyone shopping for a new or another Z - at the very least - do not ever agree to pay anything over MSRP!
here are some examples:
chrome silver (VIN: JN1AZ34D83T116397)
msrp = 35064
invoice = 32049
pikes peak white base with nismo add-ons (1595)
msrp = 27295
invoice 25300
does anyone have any similar figures or stories about pricing in their areas?
thx!

Hey all. First post. Just wanted to say, that for a silverstone touring w/ the MSRP being around 34700, I talked the dealer down to 31500. I didn't buy it, b/c i've made up my mind to get a 2004, but I wanted to see what kind of deal I could get when I had nothing to lose.

Thanks!
Greenville Nissan. The invoice he showed me was at 31,038 for the Touring Model. The first deal he gave me after an hour of negotiating was 32,038 (1000 over invoice) but he saw I was a hard *** when I declined and walked out. He called me back a week later and offered it to me for 500 over invoice.
