Default What The Dealership Just Told Me......

i had made up my mind to buy that 350Z last night. finally had reached the decision to do so. i called the dealer, talked to a salesman or manager, not sure which one. told him the deal i was offered two weeks ago was $23,500, but if they'd really entice me with $23,000 i would just do the deal right now.

he tells me they might not be able to make that same deal now, two weeks later. the numbers are out and trucks and SUVs took a hit due to high gas prices.

then he recalls my SUV was one of the smaller ones, and it might not be too bad for me. he then wanted to know if i was a buyer at $23,000 and i told him yes. he said he'd call back last night, and he never did.

are they messing with me?

Mike

You shouldnt have to chase someone down to buy a car, just go to another dealer.

I told you in plain English that the May book change was not going to be kind to SUVs and to buy the car immediately in your other thread that got locked because you listened to nothing anyone says. I am vindicated again!

Sounds good to me.

If he's willing to sign a contract with me, if he puts the cash up, I will find the car he wants and get it for less then hes asking, as long as I can keep the extra money Im able to get knocked off, I'd be game.

but.... talk talk talk no walk.
