Default Black 03 touring 80k miles $15.5k good buy?

ok well ive been looking for a z in the paper and online for a while now and i dont have a whole lot ot spend. I just Graduated highschool and im lookin to get one of these. My dad is paying off 7k of the total for me so i have to come up with the rest. I will be paying it off for 4-5 yrs or asap. Ok so on to the car.

its a 03 touring black with 80k on it. the dealer is asking 15.5k online and i called them and they said that this was there discounted price it normally went for 18k. Anyway is 15.5k worth it for this car given nothing wrong with it. Im going to look at it on wensday and ill see what happens i think i want to trade my current car in and get 1.5-2k for it. maybe i can talk them down or have them throw in a warrenty or summin. i just wanted to know if this is a good buy

I would actually suggest checking the board on here.

There are two guys in New Jersey selling Daytona blue 350z's and both are 03' and have about 55k miles...so less mileage, and the price on one of them is 15K and its a performance...I think his name is Shocur...and the other is a base but with lotso f mods "OMG3fiddyZ" something like that...

worth a look

So your car will be roughly 10 years old, and probably have around 140k miles by the time you make your last payment? Did you also consider what your insurance costs will be? or plan for maintenance & repair?

Not trying to pick on you -- just trying to offer some things to think about.

You can find a z w/ a lower mileage than that. My friend just got an 03 touring with 47k miles for 16.5k

I had 76k on my 03 AT when I traded it. I feel that car would go another 100k it felt like it just rolled out of the showroom, I traded it because it was auto and the paint needed some help.

Car is overpriced. In this case the car has way too many miles. It seems like
a "premium" condition track '03 w 50k miles should be priced this way. Take
your time and DO NOT RUSH into the purchase of a Z. You have to be patient
and wait for the right deal. If you want this car, offer the dealer $11,750.

Literally.

Good Luck.

u should be able to get that car for a Much lower price. When i was looking for a z i came across a babied 06 with 17k on the odo. the dealer was asking 22 but had to get it off the lot. had it discounted to 19. so comparing to the car you were looking at, heres a car that doesnt even have 20k miles and is only about 4k more then the car u want. i dont think the depreciation on a z is good enough to drop 4 grand in 70thousand miles + year difference. Get some other listings online that have similar prices to the z ur looking at and show that to the guy selling it, then u have more proof to lower the price - personal opinion, i wouldnt buy a z with 80k miles =\

i havnt seen to many z's round here. most of them on autoshopper are 18-19k for 03's. i just looked at one today an 03 touring with nav, Lemans sunset. 52k miles hes asking 16900 but i think i can prob get him to 15.5-16k

For an 03 that is quite high for that high of a mileage.
I've just started looking for a Z and I have seen a lot for around 15K with 50K or less on the engine.

I was looking on autotrader and most '03s with 80k miles or so were going for around $13k.
I also saw an '07 for $19.9!!!!

that's totally partially untrue, only the Z holds a good value, a car that is worth almost $30,000 brand new and its value five years down the road is worth around $15,000, that's pretty good. A decent Z with 60,000 miles, its wholesale value or loan value is at $14,000. A 2008 Ford Mustang GT, brand new, has an invoice of $24,988 and has a trade in or loan value of only 13,550. That trade in value is for a like used 08 Ford Mustang GT, That sucks!
