I'll probably be picking one up as soon as i sell my '97 4runner and a '82 911

You can check out the prices just as well as we can. They are three very different cars. You can't compare a NISMO and an Enthusiast model. Do you like Le Mans Sunset or do you like Red? Do you like the NISMO styling and willing to put up with the stiffer ride? Can you afford the $10k difference between the NISMO and the 2006?

I'd rather go with the '07 or '08 engine myself. However, as I was looking and buying a few months ago, I ended up with an '06 because I found a great deal on a GT with 20k miles. Since you have three options, decide for yourself what price would make you want each car. Maybe it is $16k for the '06, $21k for the '08, and $27.5k for the NISMO? Then take that price to the respective dealers and make an offer. The one that takes your offer is the "best" deal.

 

sorry i should've made myself more clear. i meant which car is worth the price its advertised at the most?

also i've tried searching but, what's advantage does the hr engine have besides the extra hp?

Dual intake.. more balanced engine.. for one

The previous generation of engine, Rev-up design, had quite a number of oil consumers (mine for example) -- 2005/06 model years.

 

i have an 07 model with just 710 miles on it. silver,garage kept, never been drivin in the rain or snow. excellant condition and still has the new car smell in it. asking 24,500.

 

i think the red 08 i listed is a pretty solid deal, no?

 

I'd probably say the Red '08. However, it still is worth a lot less than what they are asking IMO. The '08 will still have a lot of the warranty left and NISMOs are overpriced in my opinion.

The HR engine supposedly is a tougher, more reliable engine, or at least it should be. As was mentioned, the '06 had a number of problems with oil consumption and has less low end torque.
