$23,999 for a base '07 with rims (possibly fakes, can't tell, pictures suck) and a touchscreen NAV, already has 22,864 miles, and you know it was probably driven by an "enthusiast" of some sort who had been ragging on it! A lot of places are hardly selling brand new '08 Z's for much more than that, and those are virgin Z's!

Especially with this economy. dmplaya786 is right, laugh right back at him.

I'd say even much more than $22,000 would be high, but who knows. Some markets are different than others.

It's an 2007 dropped, has aftermarket bronze wheels, and a exhaust, almost 23k miles, and he laughs at you for a $20k offer??? LMFAO. That guy is crazy. I've heard of guys getting brand new 2008 base Z's in the low $20k's.

i tested drove the car. it was in great condition.
it also had clear bra, the tanabe medallion exhaust and after market alarm system.
dont know what kind of rims are those but i like it

i wish i could just buy that car for $20000.

i test drove few other Z that i was intrest in buying but some of them had some issues (like car wouldn't start or trunk wouldn't stay open or everytime i shift hight RPM car make weird noices)

The rims are either Rota Torques or Work Emotions Kr Cai, I would have offered a little less. I can't believe they think they can get more than 20k for that.

It is at least an enthusiast but probably a Touring. But $20 Gs is plenty high. sit tight.

I'd offer that car for $22k. I bought my 06 Base in June for $21k with 18k miles. But the reason they are saying no is because they know some kid out this with wealthy parents will buy the car for that price.

I'd offer $18.5 and laugh at him as he doesn't sell it for half a year and calls you anyway

Were you face-to-face with the seller when you made the offer?

word.. money talks, if you are there in person I doubt they would let you walk away after making a 20k offer, they would figure something out.

if they seriously laughed at you after making a 20k offer I would tell them to f' off and I'd go find a better Z for less. sorry but when you're spending that kind of money somewhere you need to be treated very well.

they are in denial, and they probably don't know Z's for **** being an Audi dealer. it will rot on their lot and they'll lower price eventually

if you really want that one look up some other local Z's for way less. show them a base model 08 with no miles going for a similar cost. show them other 07s with less miles going for less. tell them you aren't going to pay them extra for mods as no one in the car market does.

if they still don't budge just move on to the next. there's nothing unique about that car - don't feel like you have to pick that one because of it's wheels, exhaust, navi etc.. these are all things you can add after you pick up a cheaper Z and you can get it to your likings rather then what someone else picked out.

Leave them your phone number & tell 'em to call when they will take the 20 Gs.

Meanwhile, move on to the next one..........

Here is the local who traded it, https://my350z.com/forum/north-west/...-for-sale.html

PM him and ask him what they gave him for it when he traded it in? Maybe that will give you some leverage or help you sleep at night

Nice looking car BTW good luck!
