350z shopping tip
I just bought a touring 350z for 9000+ off msrp and also got the 1.9% financing.
One quick tool anybody can use to buy a 350 or any other car is to go to www.overstock.com and click on cars. I found out about the deals on the 350z through them, you will then get a upfront price online and 3 dealers to compete with. I printed out the price and checked on nissan website who had the car I wanted in stock went to the dealer, negotiated a price then pulled the printout and told them I have a fixed price from another 3 dealers, if they wanted my business they had to beat it and they agreed.
So thought I would pass this tip along in case there are any remaining deals.

Good stuff dada! I actualy put a deposit down today on an 08 base brand new for $24k plus ttl. I noticed your in jersey! What dealer did you go to to do all this? I just did the overstock thing and it said $22k for the exact model i was looking at today? If this is actualy the case i might take my deposit back! One other thing! on overstock it pointed to me to a dealer 14 miles away with the Z i was looking for but according to the dealers website it says that they only have a white auto roadster in stock when im just looking for a manual base?

24 is a good deal especially if your also getting the 1.9%. Many dealers wont give you the 2500 and the 1.9 but I negotiated that. Be careful on deposits, my dealer pulled a nonrefundable on me after I was told first it was refundable, then partly refundable then not refundable. I think in NJ (have to check this), they cant do this unless they special order the car. In the end I bought the car because of the good price and very few dealers had the carbon silver touring navi I wanted. Another dealer in NJ, Admiral has a manual advertised on their website but when you call them they dont honor the price on their website, I would stay away from dealers like that.
I went to Sansone on Route 1 in Woodbridge. If you PM me your details I can hook you up with my sales person he was very cooperative and a straight shooter (the dealer on the other hand was a little weird, Ill give you more details). First check their website and make sure they have the car you want-when I bought my car last weekend they had 2 base models left, 1 in red and 1 in black I believe, thats the trick. Also on overstock, put in other zip codes to see if your price is different. The key is to visit the dealer who has the car in stock because at this point and this market they arent going to do dealer trades unless your making them a lot of money. If the dealer I have has this car, I would call the dealer, tell them Im getting the manual base for 23500 (dont say 24), tell him I notice you have one in stock, before I come in can you beat it. Another trick with dealers, is to call (dont bother visiting) and ask for the sales manager, tell them your looking to buy and you have negotiated a deal with another dealer for whatever model you want. Always tell them the price you negotiated is about 200-300 dollars cheaper than what you actually did (I figure if the dealer has negotiated with you and the difference is slight, its worth going to that guy for the business), then say if they can beat it because you want to give the business to the dealer who is upfront and wants to sell, most of the time the sales manager will be up front that way you have your pick of color and know right away who to go to if your other deal fails. Make sure you ask all fees up front, these dealers are notorious for having different doc fees, and other suspect fees, get the full package amount so there are no hidden charges.
I have heard one of the straight shooters in Nissan dealerships is DCH, Im not sure if that is true but the DCH Acura guys were straight and upfront.
Hope this helps.
