Default Is 90k miles alot on a Z????

I am looking for a car right now, I have never really had an issue with high mileage cars. I loved my z, but I never put alot of miles on it. Assuming I get a great deal, is 90k alot for this car???

I assume I should check out the following:

- look for rust
- Check fluids
- Compression check
- ???? any other ideas???

I am gonna have my mechanic look at it, but I want to make sure that I know what I should be looking for also, and if its ok to buy a z with that type of mileage?

90,000 miles is more than 45,000 miles. Yes.

Depending on how the car was driven... 90000 miles can be a lot.

I was told that the average miles put on a car yearly is 15000. If the the car is a 05 then thats high miles.

yea, I miss my 04 BIG TIME, but no turning back now. I really want to get into the Z world again, and I just trust these cars so much. Its an 05 with 90k miles, its alot, and yes Im afraid, but I am wondering what problems I will be looking at with the car if I get it?? The z, is so basic, I cant see serious problems, but thats just me.

what is it that makes you desire a Z when you have a lotus? I know variety is the spice of life, but if it were me I would want a completely different situational ride rather then another nice sporty coupe.

The Z was turbo'd lol. Lotus aren't that fast in terms of raw power, it's the sheer nimbleness and amazing handling of the car that makes them track cars. A turbod Z probably has a bit more power in the pedal than a stock Lotus.

Actually I have an esprit, its a Twin Turbo V8 from factory, and eats up gallardos all day long. Its a great car, but it is no joke if something breaks, and very tempermental. I tracked it once, but I just find myself being very very careful and not pushing it. Its that if their is an issue and I crash this car, it is Almost IMPOSSIBLE to get it back to its original state. The bodies were completely hand made, and the car is not made anymore, plus I have 1 of 4 made in the Orange in 04, and 2 of those 4 have been crashed, so my car is rare.

I want a Z, so I can get back on the track, b/c to be very honest. That car was the most fun I have in a car on the track. The Z, to me, is just an amazing car, fun to drive, and can drive it all week. I just dont want to spend to much on it, as it will be a fun, slash occasional drive during the week car. I guess I shouldve explained myself first, if 90k is too much Ill just forget the car all together.

not to be forward, I apologize if you feel offended, but what is $9000 to you when you obviously have the means for much more, noting by the cars in your sig and the lotus you have just described. Just buy it and have fun with it, you said yourself they last a long time and if something happens oh well ? It's a z that you want to take to the track, why buy a more expensive one with less miles that you are going to be endangering.. I don't see the point. Just pull the trigger and enjoy it.

Knils, I have no idea, but that answer just dawned in my mind to just get the car inspected, and if good compression and what not, buy the car. I think I will, I will get back to you guys and let you know when I get it. Of course as long as its a good deal.

Did you find a 350Z with a suitable number of miles?
