06 MT here with over 50k miles with no issues.

I say go for it. If it does have an issue with oil then it's covered by nissan up to 60k

I have an 06' and I have not had one problem with it. I drive thr crap out of my car, so if it had issues I am sure I would know. My friend also has an 06' and he did have the oil burning. If it does take it to the dealer and they will replace the engine at no cost and your problem will be solved. The replacment only took my friend 1 week. If you want a 06' then get one. The oil burning issue can be fixed.

From what I have read and understand it was more common on the first half of the o6 model years and the 05 anniversary editions. 2006.5 seemed to be corrected. That being said I have 12k on mine and have had no issues yet.

I've got an 06 with just under 30k miles. My car is tracked, beaten, and well taken care of and no problems.

Wife and I both had 06's at one point (6MT's). Hers never burned a drop of oil. Mine burned a quart in 750 miles we both had less than 15k miles.

She still has hers. I got rid of my 06 and got an 07 which I was completely satisfied with but now am now considering selling so I can get a 370.
