He is saving money monthly because his current monthly bill is for financing like $21k. His new payments will start from day 1 again but will be a bill for only 13K of financing.

You guys are correct! Yes the guy is willing to hold it off for me until whenever. he said hes going to keep it, if I dont buy it.

I mean he does have 3 C6 vetts, srt-10 viper, hummer, 350z, and etc as DD.

Im just saying I think its pretty worth it on the PPW.
Keep your car and pay off the loan. You probably only have a couple years before it is completely paid off. Most of your payment now is going to principle, if you take out another auto loan, you will be paying a lot of interest again, a financially stupid move.

Once you pay off the car, then save your money so you can buy your next car with cash.

+1

paying thousands to get the same car with less mileage is retarded.

I have to agree, I don't think this is a wise move. Either sell your car if you REALLY can't afford it (which at current prices you will actually barely break even, if not be upsidedown) or better, pay it off and enjoy it.

uh... i'd keep it. if you are going to buy a different Z, get a newer year... like an 06+

but as long as you take care of your car, you shouldn't have any problems... you DO take care of your car, right?

How can you not qualify for a re-fi on 12K (current car), but expect to get another loan for 13K??? (other car)

I totally understand about wanting to lower the payments, but I'm not getting why you just dont re-fi. Is it because you just want the lower mileage??

Pretty much you just said it. I have a steady flow of $$ that comes in, I just wanted a cheaper payment. Yes there plenty of Zs out there that are around $12k, but I dont want the high mileage.

I also dont mind starting my 5 years over. Ill be getting a settlement also, and ill just put it towards the Z, and pay it faster (not my current)

I say you cant beat a Z with 10,085 original miles. I know the HR motor is a great motor, but I dont plan on putting $$ into other then just rims. I usally just leave them stock, like the one I got now.

Right on man, I understand totally. You should go on a few runs with us hanford/lemoore guys. Me and a few G guys usually tear up the Coalinga foothills, good times for sure. Best of luck to you on getting the "new" Z!

Being a 03 with low miles I'd be worried about the tranny going out without a warranty to replace it.

Other than that I would say go for it, getting a Z that probably doesn't have much wear and lower miles and cheaper payments sounds good

Well I know this guy, and hes pretty much loaded with money, and has a bunch of cars.

Well he's thinking about selling his Z to me for pretty cheap, because hes thinking if he should pick up a new one.

Well its a 2003 PPW Touring, with 10,085 actual miles. hes willing to let it go for $13k. Which I think is a pretty good deal since its a 1 owner car, low miles, and from a old guy who takes care of his cars very well.

I payed $21k for my car about 2 1/2 years ago.

my payments will be aeound $230-$250 a month.

What you guys think?
WELL!!!!

If you have no money left after you're car payment then you cannot afford it.

I understand wanting to save money but if you refinance the $12k that you owe won't your payments be less than what you would pay on $13k?
