The 05' is from one of those independent dealerships. The reason i want the 05' more is because it has around same mileage as the 07' AND its the TOURING package, i like hhaving alot of options on the car. So im just thinking of going in asking for 17k OTD, but of course if they ask for like 18,995(listed) + ttl ima walk.

And as for the 05' i wanted it for 17-18k OTD havent really talked to this guy yet he just kept on telling me to come down to the dealer blah blah and i had to go to work so hung up. haha

ALSO black06z you said get it checked by a mechanic... the 07' is at a known nissan dealership so would i just say "hey let me give this to ur mechanic" or bring my own...?
Bring your own mechanic. Some of the dealerships could have their mechanic lie about what's the true condition of the car. Also, I would ask for a carfax for both of them, and get a good test drive. What about their warranty?

Idk dude i hear your point about the 05 being a tour and all that. But here are the reasons i would get the 07.

1. Newer car, 2 years old rather then 4 years (so if you look to sell it down the road)

2. better motor, the DE is great but the HR is just better (had them both)

3. being sold at a nissan dealer so it might have a pre owned certified warranty

4. Better gear tranny

-------2007-----------------2005

1st----3.84-----------------3.54
2nd----2.35-----------------2.26
3rd----1.53-----------------1.47
4th----1.00-----------------1.00
5th----.84------------------.83
rev----2.76-----------------2.37

5. the 05 has leather and im not a big fan on how the older Z's leather breaks in it looks very old and worn down. im not saying this to bash cause my 08 has leather and it is one of my biggest worries. my 05 was a enth and the seats always looked great even after driving it 43k miles.

but i gotta say my biggest thing is buying it from the nissan dealer and getting that warranty for a peace of mind. tell them 20k OTD dude they will do it. you can get a 08 enth brand new(NO MILES) for 24k OTD

For 2 thousand more, I would go with the 07. Your getting a better engine, Improved interior, better head and tail lights, better wheels, and several other cosmetic upgrades. I think its a nicer looking car.
