which one is the better buy?
Ok so everytime I find a car and think about going to make the purchase some other guy comes along and takes it. So know I'm looking at 2 Z's and going to fork over alittle more then i want to and jump on one next week. (also do 05's have oil consumption problem too?) So which one is a better buy:
2007 350Z Enuthusiast AT
White
24k miles
$23,999 he can do for $20,999+ ttl
or
2005 350Z Touring AT
Black
20k miles
Fully loaded with navi...etc
$18,995+ ttl
I'm leaning towards the 05 since it is the touring model with more options and a little cheaper, but 07' also has its nice qualities.
all opinions appreciated.

i would say the HR is usually the better choice..
but its your money..
just for comparison, i got my 07 HR with 11k miles on it for around 22k, and that was 6 months ago..however it is a base model..

Did your 05' give you any problems? and do you think its worth giving up options like the nav, power seats, heated seats? As long as the 05' had no huge issues like oil consumption, tire feathering, or whatever then i just rather get the 05' for comfort haha

just read your last post. sounds like you should just get the 05 and save yourself some money. it will be a slightly more comfortable daily driver at less cost, with a little less power and a little more weight. not a big deal.
05 is a great year for the Z and you will not have to worry about the tire feathering / oil consumption, but it is still in your best interest to have a mechanic inspect the vehicle.

Get the hr i had a 05 AT and now i have a 08 MT and man what a diff. i know the tranny makes a diff but just being able to rev up to 7500 rpm's rocks Also shop around some more i think you can get a better deal. I got my 2008 touring MT in march of 09 brand new ( of course its a left over) for 26k out the door. Also my boss got a 08 enthusiast MT (brand new also) the same time as me and paid 24k out the door.

aaaahhh you guys making me want the 07 one now haha. the PPW 07 looks so sexy too. So this is what I am going to do. I am going to be calling both dealers and if i can get the 07' for 20k OTD then ill go for it, but last time i talked to the guy he wouldnt budge from 20,999+ttl so we'll see. And as for the 05' i wanted it for 17-18k OTD havent really talked to this guy yet he just kept on telling me to come down to the dealer blah blah and i had to go to work so hung up. haha
ALSO black06z you said get it checked by a mechanic... the 07' is at a known nissan dealership so would i just say "hey let me give this to ur mechanic" or bring my own...?

The oil consumption issue only affects '06 -- plus I don't think any AT's have the oil consumption problem.
I would take the '07 if it was me.
As a side note, I have an '05 that has tire feathering problems, so this does still linger in later models. Taking it in for re-alignments every 6 months seems to help, but doesn't completely fix/remove the problem from eventually coming back.

Are both these cars from a nissan dealer? cause you did say the 07 is, what about the 05? if not i would def take the 07 just because its from the dealer tell him 20k out the door Also the 18k miles on the 05 is not alot of miles just to answer your question. you can def get a enth 05 way cheaper like 15 or 16k just look around
