i'm put between a hard choice, maybe you experts can help guide me.

one is a modded 2003 with body kit, spoiler, CF hood. manual 65000km touring package, he changed interiors to nismo

the other is a silver stock 2005, i dont like the colour, also manual, 70000km. base package.

the kicker is both these cars are the same price, I REALLY REALLY like the 2003 modded car. and if i was to pick the 2005, i'd have to spend a ton to make it to the same level as the modded 2003

which one should i choose? i have to decide very very soon.

looks like you already made the decision, i would go with the base, 03 has many problems .

 

It might help if you post pics of the two. Personally I would go with the '03 because it has slightly less miles and more options. What is the price?

 

I have an 03... and I haven't had the listed problems 03's have, only my bose speaker and sub amp screwing up. Other than that, I love my 03 <3333

If you don't like the color of the 05, and it's a base, and you like the mods on the 03, why is there even a discussion? Get the '03.

 

03's are the 1st year bastarrd Z cars, lots of known issues, plus a at 65k you should be bout ready for $$$$ repairs throughout the car.

the problem with the 03 is that the seller is a young kid, 20, that wont provide etest and safety... he wont budge, said he doesn't want dirty mechanics to touch his car, which is bs, and I already said i'll pay for the inspections at an authorized nissan dealer. i'm very uneasy about it, but i'm getting a good deal with all his mods in the car.

the price is CAD$19,000 for 03, and CAD$19,500 for the 05

all my friends say the 03 is suspicious and i shouldn't take it. i'm thinking the same, but i really like whats done on it. saves me a lot of money
the 05 has clean record, US car.
the 03 has one collision, $3000 claim in 2006, very small so probably just bumper damage and had to be replaced and it happened before this guy bought the car. He says he didn't 'know' about this collision, i had to pay carproof to get the record.

if i was to mod the 05 to the 03 level, that would cost me around $5000 i would think

This car is ABSOLUTLY MINT!! and literaly stops traffic.... It still smells new inside you can eat off the engine. Thousands spent on upgrades. Only the best has been put on the car as far as maintenance goes. I in absolutly no way shape or form need to sell this car I own it out right and if it sells it sells. If not its no big deal. Please do not under any circumstances email me or call me if you do not have cash in hand because I don't have time for tire kickers!! the modded car has a small rattle sound from teh back, he said its the aftermarket muffler he installed..

 

Have you noticed the two pics for the 05 dont match up?

1st pic:

-Looks like silverstone
-17 inch base rims

2nd pic:

-color is chrome silver
-has 18" 06+ rims
-has 06+ bumper

I wouldn't buy either. The sellers are not being honest. Look around longer and study your cars in more depth.

 

I would feel uneasy too. That kid is acting like just that, a kid. The car does look great, but maybe there is a reason he is offering a good price on it.

Also, do you know what the dollars and miles converts to in the US? Sorry, I'm lazy.

 

that 03 either has a really poorly fitting kit or its been wrecked. Those body gaps are very inconsistent.

that is such a load of ****. +1 to you for being wise enough to get the car inspected. do not fall prey to his antics just because you like the mods he's thrown on there..

 

I don't think I would want to buy a heavily modified car from a young, 20 year old kid... especially after a collision.

And the stock '05 pics are two different cars!

 

If I stand corrected, but I think you have an INGS +1 N-spec front... and veilside sides and rears... and I'm not sure on the wing.

 

also on the 05 .. one of the cars has the yellow diffuser in the headlight and the other 1 doesnt

 

On second thought, get the '05. That '03 is pretty ugly. The front bumper, the sideskirts, and those exhaust cans aren't doing it any favors, unless you like the tacky look.
