All that matters is whether YOU think you got a good deal. You're the only one who has to be happy here; the rest of us didn't sign the paperwork and aren't going to be living with the car (or the deal). Why take the say-so of a bunch of strangers on the Internet? If you're happy with the car, and you're ok with the deal, that's what's important at this point.

Sounds like a descent deal. I got my 05 Silverstone Touring (6MT) 44K for 14K from a private party about 2 months ago. The guy a few mods: cheap TSW wheels; Pop-charger, Eibach, and Nismo ****. I think the warranty coverage is what you pay extra for...

Chubb - since you're in Fremont you might want to check out Dan @ Wheeldude. I drove there from Sac and purchased some Rota's & Falken's. I'm thinking about going another direction with my wheel/tire combo. If you're interested in them for you car; please let me know (nuts4poker@gmail.com) or PM.

Dan posted a pic...

Car is worth roughly $13-14k cash otd. You bought a bogus warranty.
Deal was not awful, but could have been better. Did you take a skilled
negotiator with you?

i think the price was fair. people gotta realize DEALER PRICES and PRIVATE PRICES are going to differ by a lot. there are pros and cons w/ both methods. it also depends on the availability locally and of course your expenses. honestly, i prob would have just gone w/ the 3 yr or 36000 mile warranty which is what i did.

No need to worry about the dealer. He did alright, or he wouldn't have done the deal.

But yeah, it sounds like you came out pretty good.

Wait a minute. You bought an '05 Touring with cloth interior? Sounds like the dealer told you it was a Touring but it was really an Enthusiast. Tourings have leather interior.
