The warranty just ran out at 30k, but they have a 30 day from the dealer. (I know, big whoop) I will go by and look at it again to check the brakes, but I don't think they are Brembo's.
Minimum warranty on ANY Nissan is 3 yrs 36K... To find out how much Warranty is left Call the customer service number at Nissan and provide them the VIN #. They will tell you the original in service date - and how many months if any - are left on the warranty.

If you search around you can find a "Difference between Models - Spec Sheet" you should have one in hand when talking to a Dealer - so you know more than they do - Consider the fact that they will sell you anything you will pay for... and will try to negotiate for any thing you KNOW is lacking... If you look around on here and on 350zmotoring one of the two sites is bound to have this spec sheet... There are 5 models after all... Can't expect a salesman to keep them all straight...

There were also some strange model years like the 05 that offered an Anniversary Edition... and I think 03 and 04 also had a Performance Model.

Study up....

Thanks for the tip. I will try to find that spec sheet and be on my game next time I talk to one of these guys. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction. Not all forums are as welcoming and patient with the new guys. I appreciate it.

Thanks again

look at the thread just under yours where the guy asked 'what color is good'. we are a hostile bunch too, but you seemed like a laid back, educated guy, so we went a different welcoming route with you. I have no problem providing people with info if they come off as intelligent.

asking vins to be ran via carfax will get your thread closed though - not something they condone here.

If you are serious about $20,000 for a car you can certainly invest $50 with CarFax.

Thanks for the tip on the Carfax. I removed the request.

I swear some of the dealers are smoking something. I just looked at an 05 35th Anniv Ed with 40k miles and they wanted $23k for it. With my trade and him "coming down" on the price he still wanted $20k for it. Hell, the guy with the spotless 05 35th with 19k miles at least came down to $18,100.00.

you will run into a lot of folks that put more value in these cars then they will get out of it. it will take some work, but the deals are out there.

Any suggestions on this? I got the 05 35th anniv edition with 19k miles down to $18,100.00 and the 06 with 32k miles down to $17,900.00. Does one of these seem better than the other in terms of year/cost/features?

Thanks!

#3, but for $19k. I've seen new 08s go for less than $25k.

internet negotiation is not the rock bottom they will take. show up with cash or a preapproved loan and tell them you have cash and see how low they will really go.. you aren't pushing them hard enough or they don't care enough to make the sale. find someone who does. the z is not that rare

I would personally go for the 35th anniv edition because it is limited in yellow (only 2005 models) and its the color I want to get. Also, if the 35th anniv ed is a manual, then the 05 is a better choice because it has the same reved up engine as the 06 + bremo brakes + lower miles. Your call buddy
