Default Opinions please

2003 350Z Touring. 113,000 miles, asking price $11,000

Second Owner. Black leather, all power, great sound system. Placed nearly 60,000 miles since purchase in 2006 (Sales Job - Highway Miles) New tires to fit the 18" Custom Rims. Oil Changed every 3,000 Miles. 6 Speed Manual Transmission. Already purchased new vehicle so need to sell. Will take reasonable offer. Always garage kept...looks and runs great

I Checked KBB and they indicate price of $10,725, in good condition. Seller seems somewhat desperate, so I was thinking 10K might be a good starting point, if the car really is in "good" condition. I haven't looked at the car or even contacted seller yet, just wanted to know if it's even worth my time.

I wouldn't buy a Z with that kind of mileage.

exactly!! You never see a for sale thread saying "this car was tracked every other weekend"

Sounded like a lot to me also, that's I wanted some feedback from other members. I know mileage is relative. If this person was the original owner that had copies of service records for the whole 113K, I wouldn't be as concerned.

Isn't that the truth. I don't know how many times I've went to look at a car advertised as "excellent condition" and it looks like it's been through WWIII.

Even saw an ad recently with the statement that car was owned by a lady 70 years old, and only drove it on sunny weekends. I can't imagine anyone still falling for this old gag.

The engine wasn't my only concern, was also wondering about reliability of 6spd tranny. Of course this goes back to how hard the car was driven over those 100K+ miles.

Opinion?

Spend more on a newer car with less mileage.

I believe I'll keep looking. Besides, in Ohio, sports car prices tend to come down as it gets closer to the end of summer.

A quick search on autotrader at 200 miles from Columbus (dunno which town your in specifically) shows several Z's with half the mileage of the one you were looking at for 12-15k.
