Which car would you buy? 05 s/c vs 07 n/a

Which car would you buy? 05 s/c vs 07 n/a
2005 350z stillen charged, 10,000 miles
or
2007 350z stock, 8,000 miles
they're both around $22,000 and within my budget, the only thing im worried about with the 05 Z is reliability, i test drove the car and did a visual inspection and everything "seemed" okay. Also the car had a bunch of funky gauges and a turbo timer and a stage 3 clutch which i thought was overkill....any thoughts? lol

hehe, a little biased seeing how you have an 07
i did some searching and read how the 07-08's have the clutch slave cylinder problems, and how they fail with upgraded clutches. That really demotivates me...how do people drive around with upgraded clutches without killing the slave cylinder?

The owner of the 05 s/c had all mods installed at a nissan dealer in Colorado and has all documents, and moved to California (where im at) and is currently selling for a family oriented car.
I test drove the 05 and it was fine, but for a car that only has 10,000 miles and being s/c'ed would dealers generally ''deny'' warranty service that aren't engine related? I have no idea how good or bad nissans warranty/service is compared to subaru and mitsubishi (which were horrible)

05 s/c, they reason i say this is if you are a z enthusiast eventually even if you get the 07 u will want more power, and to s/c or turbo a car you are lookin ne where from $5-8000. even if you don't know that much about boost supercharged is the simplier way to go u can always research and learn what u need to. i think you will be very pleased with the 05 s/c, and the mileage seemes great also.

Since you're in CA, the more important question is the Stillen S/C kit in the 05 smog legal (Only the stage 2 is 50-state legal, stage 1 & 3 are not). Will the car pass smog the way it is now? You'll have to smog it to transfer ownership and then once again in 2011 and every two years after that.
I'd personally get the 07, especially since you're worried about reliability as you stated in your first post.

Yes sir, the stillen is stage 2 (CARB legal) which is important to me seeing how i live in this communist state called California.
I'll go check out a few 07+ Z's and report back.
seems like the majority is in favor of the 07

my personal opinion would be neither, i guess bc you can find the car for cheaper unfortunately.. i have a friend who just got an 06 stock w/ 7000 miles for like $16500 from dealer (nice alternative to your 07 with 8000 miles for $5500 lower). with time, im sure you can find deals like that, save money on payments and have extra money for MODs. im demoralized with the prices of our cars

There are wayyyy too many variables when buying a non factory fi car. That car ccould be a ticking time bomb so ask yourself can you afford to have it laid up for months while you save for a new long or short block and the thousands of $ it will cost just to bring you back to stock.plus stillen isnt at the top of the list of wanted kits.. No brainer
