I'm going to look at it on Thursday i appreciate the input from you guys and ill take it into serious consideration my cousin owns a shop in Dallas off of spring valley road. I don't know if you guys know him or not; its spring valley tire. I'm sure that he could get the parts cheap and install them perfectly. I'll check the frame out and the structural integrity as you said to see if there is any unrepairable damage. If it is so beat up to the point where it can not be fixed I'll leave it as it is and continue my endless search for my z. Thanks again. Oh sorry for the double post and fyi the guy has come down to 4000.

Honestly , he could probably buy it and sell a lot of the parts and make his money back and then some if he could get it for 4k. Thats what I was thinking at least when I saw the pics. If you wanted to fix it though, no way not worth the headache and expense unless your a body shop and know how to do this which if that were the case then you wouldn't be asking this question here.

assuming you want this as a daily driver? No
project car? Maybe
Im not an expert but I would ask someone that works in collusion repair to look at it. In situations like this, you get more than what you bargain for...

If you wave the 4k in his face, how could he say no? Just be careful man

Do you have a decent job? Go finance a used 350z and put 3500 down from the 4k you have now, then make payments.

then maybe this isnt the right car for you at this time to begin with. wait until you can afford something you wont have to screw around with. a "TIGHT" budget will not allow you to make the proper repairs to this car. spend the proper amount of cash on a well running, structurally sound vehicle that wont cost you anything in repairs, and will allow you to stick to your "TIGHT" budget.

you are a fool if you think you can buy some totaled z on a 'tight budget' and repair it.

Great, and now you're what, 18?

Just save up and buy a car that isn't totaled. You realize that he probably "bought it back" from the insurance company for $1,000-$1,500, after the totaled it out, right?

This is funny. Kids see the price tag of $4000 and think it's a deal. That top cannot be fixed without sourcing another wrecked 350z and having the top cut off the donor car and then welded onto yours. Welds are strong but you have to deal with the alignments, which I'm sure will be a nightmare. 10/1 says if you did get it fixed you'll have water leaking in from either A. the windshield B. door windows C. rear window. Not to mention you'll need a new door skin for both doors, front right/left fender, side mirrors, rear quarter panel (which is welded in), and the whole car painted again. You're going to spend too much for a headache. I'm sure it'll end up like this again once you get a hold of it, seems as though every 18 yr old kid with a sports car destroys it.

My advice, wait, buy a Civic and play F&F for a few years until you can afford a real car or car payment.
