Arrow 350 buyer advise

Hi all,

I'm new here, and I hope to join your forum totally soon,

I'm in the market for 350z and in my country we only have a very few 2005 350z 35th Anniversary edition ( and the 370)

The car that I found is black 56K , stock, had it engine replaced 2 years ago (first owner used to have a stillen SC and lots of mods on it, the engine had died and the next owner installed a new VQ)

The car used at a few gymikana's and drift practice mostly with the first engine

What should I check before buying it ?

What is the reliability of this model ?

Should I focus my attention to specific common issues ?

Will appreciate any advise,

Thank you all.

Personally, I would never buy a modded car. You don't know how the work was done and how the car was driven. Shop for stock.

EDIT: Actually, you stated it was used to drift, so nevermind. What's the price?

The second owner had disassemble all mod's and now the car is all on original parts,

The price is a complex figure because cars are very expensive in our region,
The price is 40K $US , just for reference 2006 3.0 Z4 is 45-48K

Check everything, drive it, listen and look for problems...it's just like buying any other car. Have common sense

Holy crap, just wanna make sure when you say 40k US, do you mean 40k dollars?!?! I don't know what else it could mean, but I gotta ask. If so, that is insane man.

The local tax on vehicles is 108% ! + 16% VAT...

So new 370z is 90k ... I guess that this is GT-R money in your terms .

In 2005 what was the price difference between regular 350z to 35th speical addition ?

my ADVICE:

be willing to spend slighty more for a newer model with less miles.. if you find a 2004 w 75k for 12 grand ... and a 2007 w 53k for 16k. buy the one for 16k.. etc etc.

these are US prices, you can do your own math etc.. and plus one MILLION on not buying a previously modded car....PERIOD.

+1, just be patient and wait, if even you pass up a "deal", every week you'll find z's put up for sale. Just wait to find one your 100% comfortable buying and don't have to second guess if to purchase or not.

Thank you all for your advises,

I must remind you that the engine was replaced to years ago and made 18K since, at Sunday I will check the exact enige model and update you, could an 2009 VQ engine be different spec from the original 35th anniversary engine ?

The owner says that the car consume 500 cc of oil for each 1500 miles (Monthly), is it regular consumption ?

It could have been great if i would have 350z options in my country, but there are only 5 imported cars .... And new 370z .
