Im currently in the market for a 350/g35. My price range is under 15k as I am a college student. I was mostly looking at the older models with higher miles since that is all I can afford. Then I came across a 2007 350z enthusiast with 29k miles for just under 15k, but is has a salvage title.... The car looks like its in beautiful condition now that its fixed and I searched the vin on google and found the actual car on an auction website with the actual pictures of when it was damaged!

It was in a front end collision as shown in the pictures. Knowing what had actually happened to the car now does this look like this is a good idea to purchase?

Search on "salvage", it's been discussed a lot...

don't do it. I thought about getting one then I realized that you don't want to buy a car that has a damaged frame. I mean would you rather buy something you know is fine or buy something that's been to hell and back? Just keep looking man, I searched for 2 months before I bought mine. I just graduated and had the same budget but wanted a newer model. Settled for a 2006 enthusiast with 45,500 miles for just over 14. I did have to replace a few belts and an o2 sensor and that body isn't perfect but it's in good condition. 2 small scrapes, one tiny dent that's not even noticeable on the front fender (literally the size of a penny), I have hazy headlights I'm going to get fixed and there's a few specs on the hood that can be buffed out but other than that it's perfect. Runs great (just beat another 350z the other day). Just make sure it's everything you want and make sure you don't have second thoughts.

Yeah, if this was a Honda forum then a salvage title would be no big deal... With a Z, I'd stay away from salvage titles. Civics and Integras get totalled (and receive salvage titles) because of theft. Zs get salvage titles due to accidents.
