CPO warranty - What did you pay? Coverages?
According to Nissan's website the Premium+ wrap must be purchased at the time of vehicle purchase. I just got a quote from nissanwarranty.com which is not Nissan but claims to be a dealer selling Nissan warranty's and not a 3rd party for $1,600 and I paid $2,500. So add tax and I was over retail value and had to add gap for $500.
If it was equivalent to the platinum+ new car plan then the price makes sense but when I compare coverages it looked worse then the lowest coverage other people paid $1500 for.
Moreover, did anyone get the 3% finance? I got 4% with average credit.
The main reason for the warranty purchase was for the roadster soft top itself and motor. If it does not cover that then I think I will cancel it. I was going to extend it to 120k from the 100k mile but after the quote for $1600 I feel hosed.

I bought a 2008 Z enthusiast this week with CPO and full wrap for $2000 below NADA.
The car had CPO and I upgraded to the full wrap for $1196... dealer claimed it was only $50 profit on the wrap for them... do not know if that is true but seemed like a no brainer when the best quote I could get for a third party wrap was $1600 and was only 3 years/36000 and the Nissan wrap will cover me for 54k more miles or July 2015.
I also was able to get the 2.59% for 60 months (they also rolled the taxes and wrap into the loan) so the grin will probably not wipe off my face for quite awhile.
Only downfall was that I had to arrange shipping from Chicago area to South Dakota, $650, so technically if you include that in the purchase price I am only $1400 below NADA delivered.

That's a better deal then me. I got 4% and I didn't think they offered lower then 3%. I don't know their cost but I was quoted from Nissan warranty dot com $2k for 100k mile and $2500 for 120k wrap. So I should have gotten the 120k mile wrap for what I paid. I don't think 3rd party versions are worth it. There will be a lot of dealers that don't want to deal with them. Also, you may have to pay up front then get reimbursed and have deductibles.
I need to get more detail on the coverage. I was looking at a comparison of all the new coverage choices and the CPO wrap and it didn't look like the wrap covered much of anything. I lost the link. If someone has it, please post. If it doesn't cover the convertible top and it's motor then it's not worth it to me.

Got a better idea. Set aside $100/month from your budget for car repairs. That way if you need the money you will have it. Call it the "goracerx Warranty Program."
Buying a warranty is a losing proposition. Financing a warranty is double-dumb.

No updates on this? I just got my paperwork and it says I have prefered, which is the best of the three but no way the same as gold if it would have been done before the new warranty expired.

Anyhow, I got requoted on the prefered for $2500 for the 7yr/120k mile. But you have to deduct the original 3yrs. So mine is 3.5yrs /96k miles on the 100k version for $2500.
