Well I for one would never buy a salvage title car but it doesnt look terrible for $9300.. I'd ask him for pictures of the damage if he has it.

You do realize that insurance is going to rape you since it is a salvaged car?

IMO I would never buy a salvaged car over 2 grand.

It has a salvaged title for a reason. The insurance company decided that the cost of repair was worth more than a high percentage of the value of the car, so a 07 HR did not get totalled from just slight fender damage.

What is your budget?

If it is only 10 grand, look at other cars.

If you really want a Z at that price, buy a clean older model like a 03-04.

He gave me the pics and it was only in the back fender. I did some research and went to allstate and the full cover cause in cali they do insure salvage and its 563 dlls for 6 months to tell you the truth its not bad at all. And they value the car between 11000-14000 it all depends on the condition.

My friend has a salvage 2005 he got for $6500 dlls and he dosent have any problems with it. So I don't think salvage is that bad. That 350z had vandalism the paint was fuked it cost him $1600 to repaint that was all to it. I mean there's good and bad salvage or clean. I've seen (clean tittles) that had been in a accident before.

I agree. It doesn't look too bad. I would probably pull the trigger on the car.

just make sure you drive it and I would recommend bringing it to a mechanic to do a quick look over. You will like the Hr it is nice just be ready for maintenance, like clutch and fly wheel.

Yes I've read some issues with the clutch, but nothing major. And yea my brother went to look at it in the morning and took a friend of his that has a shop and he said the car is in very good condition. So getting that out the way just need to get the money ready. I wanna go pick it up on monday but the guy said he's gotten a lot of offers so I don't know! I only have mondays off work to go.

of course, every seller say that. If I were u, I'll sleep on it until Monday, if the car is meant to be your, it will be there. I like the price for 07 ZHR with 60+k miles. Maybe you should ask who did repair work on it.

looks pretty good. I personally wouldn't buy a salvage title but if your mechanic said its good and you did your research on insurance and everything...I say go for it. Some are bad, some are okay and some after a few months you start noticing little things.

I'd never buy a salvage title either, besides all the potential hidden gremlins.. think about resale - market for salvage titles is much smaller more then likely you will end up losing more money on it.

I had a friend who bought a salvage title e92 m3, car was great except that it kept getting out of alignment every month, he ended up spending thousands on new suspensions and it still kept eating through tires/ pulling to one side.
Also weird little rattles plagued it, he took the entire interior apart and still couldn't find this rattle.
He ended up selling it for a significant loss and bought a used clean title 335i

But if you are willing to look past all that and wana take the risk, the price isn't too bad.

"Its worth a lot more but I want to sell fast" , whenever someone is selling fast make sure to look twice...

honestly i'd either save a little more and get an older 04-05 or wait longer and get a clean 07-08

Thanks for your replys I appreciate the opinions! I'm gonna buy it. And the truth is salvage isint too far apart in value as a clean title people are just ignorant. I know cause I did my research with 3 major insurance companys. Thats it thanks guys.
