I would be careful, you could try talking them down if you want. That Z might need some work. I agree with bith8791 the car was probably abused. The interior is also most likely repainted (not a big deal). $7500 is a little steep.

That's an understatement.

Make sure that the transmission sychro's are not bad. This car and year is notorious for it.

At highway speed, push in the clutch and hold it in . . . . then shift from gear to gear, up and down. If it grinds or complains, you have a big and costly transmission problem.

Gotta say- this is one of the WORST suggestions for testing a transmission that I've heard of on this site. Traveling down a highway at 55-75 MPH and testing syncro operation!? That's a recipe for disaster, particularly for many young Z owners who are new to driving manual trannys. If something happens (traffic behind or ahead, road debris, etc) and the driver has just checked first gear, somehow drops the clutch and BAM! The Z skids off the roadway, while the VQ overrevs and shoves a rod through the side of the block.

DON'T DO THIS!

Just some things I noticed while looking at the pictures....
1) Looks like there's some paint over-spray near the Popcharger under the hood. (This would scare me considerably, potential accident damage cover-up.) A very close examination would be required around the front end.
2) Pealing clearcoat/paint (Fairly normal for an 03). Rear hatch paint looks much older compared to the rear bumper. Possible repaint done on rear bumper...if so why?
3) Dirty interior. (Steering wheel and shifter + boot are thrashed)
4) Spyder headlights. (Not the greatest)
5) Unpainted side mirror covers, means they were replaced, hopefully by a professional.

Honestly for the price, I think this one is a pass. You can do much better.

This z looks like hammered dog ****.
On a side note, I spent the morning at a Dodge dealership, those '15 Vipers are amazing, I'd take one in a heartbeat.

pretty sure no car would like being put into first while coasting 55 down the highway.

Just search on "350Z" and "CD009" (or "350Z" and "grinding")

Gears grinding while shifting, or not being able to shift at all is a common problem.

Are you looking for a daily driver or a weekend fun car? If its your only car I would keep looking if your looking for a base to build upon doesn't seem too bad if its got a clean title and the whole car seems to check out ok. But like others said you could probably find better if your patient.

LOL on air filter looking like a sci fi movie prop
