Default Price on 2008 350z Nismo?

Hi guys, I used to own a 2007 350z Nismo for a few years and decided to sell it due to things breaking down/high mileage etc. I bought the car a few years ago with 38k miles, and sold it nearly at 100k miles. I would like to buy another Nismo but wanted to see what a good/decent price would be to pay for one.

I found a 2008 Nismo with a little over 25k miles, clean title. The car looks clean and is listed for $22k at a local dealer. What would be a good price to pay? I did some research and saw that I can get a new 2016 370z base model for $25,000, so it's quite a bit of a dilemma, unless I can get the Nismo for a decent price.

22k seems about right assuming it's good quality. They hold some value and look way better than a base 370z imo.

If your paying cash, get the nismo. If youre financing, get the 370. To me, it just doesnt make sense to finance a car thats almost 10 years old.

No matter the mileage, at 10 year old, **** will start to fail. And if you can afford the cash payment, you might not be able to afford the maintenance.

Used 8yr old car for 22k or Brand new for 25K. New car all the way. For 3k more and no headaches for a couple years is how I see it.

This. And don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

You can get a new 370z for $25k sounds a bit short. **** my cars sticker price was 10k more 12 years ago...

Some insight on this. My 2006 Was recently totaled and I wanted another Z. I was looking at being able to afford payments up for 26k with the money I got back. So that puts me in a well optioned earlier 370z, a crap optioned 370z or a Nismo 350z.

I've always hated the look of 370z's until you put a few thousand in to the body. And the wheels are god awful (other then the first gen Nismo IMO) so I am looking at 26K+ 4-6k just to make the car livable for me. Im also 6'6" and I feel like the 370z cockpit wasn't as spacious in the areas I need them and I felt cramped. It felt like they added buttons just to add buttons to make car reviewers stop saying it has a bad interior. I'm a fan of the simple interior of the 350z.

I stumbled across a 14,500 mile 2008 350z Nismo for 19899. Optima yellow top, Extra set of, still in bag and tagged, nismo floor mats, Nismo headrest cover, Nismo Seat Belt covers. It was a steal. I regret nothing. The HR is a huge step up, The nismo is even better handling wise by leaps and bounds, and I love the wheels. So no need to upgrade. It was a dream car for me ever since 2006 (just out of high school) and the price is a steal. Even in Florida where there are 4-6 of these on sale at a time they go up to 26k and as low as 20k, im sure they are harder to find in other areas of the country and worth more.

The problem is the Diff bushing is cracking. The seals (weather stripping) while in 1000% better condition than my street kept 2006, are not cracking but getting old. The tires were stock showroom re50a's with dry rot. So I needed new tires. A few paint blemishes on the front bumper and hood (hard to see but after i looked over it really well I see them) So you might find a super low miles Nismo, but things wear just because of time. If you are ok with that and realize that you need to do a FULL fluid swap, brakes, trans, diff, clutch, coolant, oil, right away and can afford that then you will be golden. I only run AMSOIL sig, and I have no idea what crap the dealer put in so i feel compelled to change it right away.

I regret nothing about my purchase. The car turns heads. Women use to think i'm a 5-6 I'm now a 7-8 (must be the gym lol) I honestly like the 350z especially the nismo more than the 370z. On top of that in that price range you will be looking at an old 370 or a base un-optioned one. Every time I walk out to the garage, I have a huge smile on my face. I can't wait to drive it, show it off, wash it. Aslong as you get that same feeling it doesn't matter what on you buy.

My thoughts. I saw a new base 370z a few weeks ago for $30k.

As a previous Nismo owner you know its limited production car and for 22k with that few miles thats not a bad price at all. Its whatever you think will make you happy. What are the plans for the car? Track, daily, weekend cruiser?? These are also things to factor in as well.

Hi everyone, thanks for all of your responses. The car will be used as a weekend car. As far as 2016 370z's going for $25,000, I went on Cars.com and based on my geographical location, there were 2 base models selling for that price.

I'm going to stop by the dealer this week and if I can get the Nismo for a better price ($19-20k), I'll probably end up picking it up. Or, if I can find a '14 Nismo, I'll check that out as wel. I'll keep you guys updated!

I'll shine in. I owned a 03 track edition I grabbed in 2010. First Z, loved it. Sold it in 2015. I had to buy a family car before I went for another Z. I ended up buying a 2016 Mazda CX5 as the family car. I've been dying for a 2014 370z Nismo since they came out day 1. Just because they painted the lips that charcoal grey as in the 350z nismos. I test drove a couple 14's and almost signed for one last summer. Unfortunately, although I could afford it, it is just not practical in New England to spend that much money on a seasonal car.

I bought a 07 350z Nismo with 42K miles for 17,300. Thing is awesome. 2014's last summer were going for double the price. I'll wait a year or 2 to get a 2014. If your single with no obligations.. haha, get what ever your heart desires. I'm 28, married with a 3 year old... expensive toys for me will come after... hopefully when I hit 30 ;-)

I sold my 2008 Nismo #1277 today for $20,500. It had just under 23,000.

A base model 370z in 2-3 years will be worth less then a 350z nismo, unless it only has really low miles like 5k miles. But get what you feel you will like, test drive both and make a decision.
