I got an 03 Track model w/leather, all the extras and no navi for 32,500. MSRP was just under $36,000. You have to hit the dealer when his supply is high.

I don't know how you paid $1000 below INVOICE via VPP. I got a VPP also and I end up paying $200 over invoice. The original price started 2.7% BELOW INVOICE but after adding marketing fee,and other misc fee's, it came out $200 over invoice.

This was not the first time I purchased the car with Nissan via VPP and it always came out just little OVER INVOICE.

The only way you can get a VPP price that low is if you work for Nissan Directly.

Also the person I got the VPP from is an Inventory Control Auditor for Nissan and he say that if he get a car from Nissan, he will get a different VPP number which will have better pricing than mine because he works for Nissan Directly. Even than he says that its not by much.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS, I DON'T BELIVE YOU THAT YOU GOT $1000 BELOW INVOICE ON YOUR Z WITH VPP UNLESS YOU ARE A DIRECT NISSAN EMPLOYEE or YOU ARE THE OWNER OF NISSAN DEALER

FYI - VPP for Employees is 4.3% under invoice, VPP For associates and friends and family is 2.7% under invoice. If you had a VPP claim number and paid over invoice, you may want to contact Nissan.

I paid $500 over invoice back at end of Aug 03. VPP wasn't available at the time to non-Nissan employees. I was very happy w/the deal at the time though. So, I think the orig. poster should have NO problem getting for well below MSRP.

Hi, I am in the process of getting a Z or G35 from a Nissan employee. Would you please provide details as to how the whole process work? Somehow I was told that I will get $1500 to $1800 off the MSRP, which isn't that much. Is there different programs depending on the positions of the employee at Nissan? I am obtaining it as a friend of an employee. I was also told that I will get a voucher number and pick it out from the local dealer's inventory. Is that true? Or do I have to special order from the local dealer? Your comments would be appreciated.

You can PM me if you wish.

Many thanks

I don't work for Nissan, but I managed to get my VPP discount through a friend of mine who does work for them. Here's the process:

1. Call up friend, ask him for VPP number.
2. Friend fills out online form with Nissan, leaving his name, employee number, and other information, as well as my name, address, and phone number (the person who will be using the VPP number).
3. Once all this information is entered, my friend gets assigned a VPP number right away. He calls me and tells me what it is.
4. I pick up a business card from my friend.
5. Go to dealership, tell the fleet manager you want to buy a car under VPP. Give them the number and business card.

That's it. I didn't need a co-signature and my friend did not need to be present. Nissan already had my friend's name and identifying information on file in their VPP database after he entered it online.

Thanks for the quick response. The original thread is quite interesting and long, still reading it. Do you know if the roadster is available via the vpp plan at similar discount?

HERE ARE THE STEPS.

1. You need to do is check and MAKE SURE that the dealer where the car you want takes VPP. If not, find one that does. MAKE SURE YOU TALK DIRECTLY TO THE FLEET MANAGER.

2. Get the VPP Number.

3. Get a business card of the Nissan employee that is giving you a VPP.

4. Once you have the VPP number and pick the car you want, the Fleet Manager or the sales person will put you VPP number in Nissan VPP website and it will come out with a price.

There is no negotiation on VPP. They have a set price.

The price usually starts below invoice (2.7%) and they will add few other fee's like marketing, destination and misc minor fees.
The final price should be just over invoice.

You will see the breakdown of the price on the print out of Nissan VPP website.

and thats pretty much it.

Just make sure that the dealer did not put any extra acessories other than what came with the car like billet grill, pinstrip and any other over charged BS items.

Here is a forum website this was discussed.

Thanks. So the nissan employee would not know the price of the car when he gets the vpp number? Do I have to be exact on the model I want when I get the vpp number or do I just get the number and choose any model I like at the dealer's inventory? Is the ZR and G35 coupe included in the program. Who take VPP in the Los Angeles area for both Z and G35. Many thanks,

First check the dealer inventory on www.nissanusa.com website.

Than call the dealer and see if they have the car in stock. If they do have it in stock, ask them if they will take VPP. If the answer is no, Start over with another dealer and if the answer yes, get the VPP number & go down to the dealer and get the car.

Just MAKE SURE the dealer will take VPP before you drive down. There are lots of slime ball sales reps.

When you go down to the dealer, make sure you have the VPP number and the Nissan Employee's Business card.

Good Luck.

I sent you a PM.
