Default Cleaning engine bay. Need help ASAP!

I read about some degreasers being harsh and what not. Where can I go local and pick up some right engine cleaner that is safe for my Z?? Walmart? Auto Advance? Autozone, Pepboys? and the Name of the product!

Thanks.

i like to use simple green and a damp wash cloth, unless your engine bay is really dirty. in which case i would use castrols purple degreaser, watered down of course. the engine degreasers are harsh on the paint and some of them make the plastic turn white, so beware of them. Good luck

I saw my neighbor spray down his engine bay with some diluted degreaser and just spray down the whole engine with the hose. Can't this damage something? Drenching the motor with water doesn't seem right

As long as the enging is cold, and you let it dry and dont do anything stupid you will be fine.
