What a pain! Lug out this big machine, plug it in, run an extenion cord; or fill it with gas and lug it around blowing exhaust everywhere.

Big blue drying towel. Takes about 2 minutes, and you only have to wring it out once if at all.

And you still have water in all the cracks and voids, which runs all over youre car when you drive. Then when you dry that water off youre rubbing dust into youre paint causing light scratches and swirls. Plus, if youre car is black, you are leaving water streaks all over the place.

The leaf blower is a great thing.

Although tempted with this idea, I never dared trying it until I read this thread back in December.

Works great!! Damn the neighbors.

Not a great idea IMO. You touch your car far more often than when you are just drying it, like when your washing it, waxing it, or detailing it. Blowers are also vacs meaning they are sucking particles in the air and throwing them against your car. Also, I don't believe the car can get as clean without wiping off the water, sort of like drying yourself with a towel after a shower. Lastly, drying the car is not very time consuming in the first place. If you take the nozzle head off your hose and use a stream of water to streak off the large accumulated water, then use an absorber and large microfb towel to dry. Takes maybe 12 minutes to try my car. I wash on Sunday night and by morning there is no accumulated water running down my car. Then throughout the week use a detail spray to touch it up..again touching the car which is unavoidable.

Much more time is spent cleaning the wheels. Wish someone would invent a way to save time on the wheels.
