Default headlight scratched and oxidated. help

hi guys, I put my headlight in the oven to clear them out and when I took 1 out, it is all oxidated and hazed out and etc, I thought it was the that black gooey glue just on the headlight, but it wasn't. i think it is because of oven somehow.

so here's my question...Is there a way to buff out the headlight?
I tried to take this out, and ended up scratching the headlight also, what a bad night. I feel so stupid.

let me know guys
thankjs
John

It sounds like you overbaked the lights and possibly permanently damaged the plastic covering. If the plastic is indeed internally damaged from heat, then buffing will not help....you'll just need to get a new set of lights. Can you post some pics so we have a better idea of what the damage is?

I don't know what your damage looks like but for plastic that turns brown or foggy and scratched I've used Novus plastic polish. there's 3 different kinds for heavy scratches to light.
