Default NXT Wax application?

I did a search and really couldn't find an answer to my questions. The instructions are somewhat vague so I have a couple of questions. To start, they provide that little blue pad to apply the wax. How much should I use? Does the surface of the car have to be totally covered or would a thin layer work? Is there any technique to applying (ie. circular motion, back and forth, just slap it on) The instructions then say to leave it on until it gets hazey. How long does that normally take? Then to remove I guess use one of those mf towels I always here people talking about. Again is there any technique to removing the wax? Thanks.

I've been using NXT for about 5 months. I put squirt some on the pad to make a puddle about the size of a quarter, then use a circular motion to apply it. You can tell if your covering well or not. I can usually 'feel' by the friction of the pad on the paint if I need to apply some more to the pad. They say you can apply to the whole car and then go back to wipe it off, but the longer it drys, the harder it seems to buff off, so I usually do the car in sections, allow to dry till you see the 'haze' or dry look (5 to 10mins), and wipe off with a MF towel. NXT doesn't dry white like some polishes do, so you don't have to spend a lot of time getting it out of crevices. I like it a lot. Easy to put on and take off. Seems to last pretty good.

What Genji said but I apply in a straight motion. Top half you would be applying front to back, sides you would go top to bottom. I also recommend taking the wax off the same way. Cuts down on swirl marks, also if you have swirls this reduces how well they reflect light. Here is a cool site you can learn alot from. NXT is killer.

<3 NXT wax. That's all I've used on my Z. It's really easy compared to Zaino and has a HOTT shine, especially on SB.

Zaino is a pain to get off if you put too much on. Thin coats go a long way.

I found that NXT is not very durable for a synthetic polymer and the booster does not do much. However, for an over the counter wax, it deserves consideration and delivers decent value for the price.

I've been using nxt on my roadster for about 8 mo. now, and I personally have found it to be quite nice.

two light coats, easy buffing. done. results look fantastic, and have lasted pretty well.

i also apply lightly, in one direction only to avoid swirls from showing up...

i also love NXT, but a question about those used towels..you guys wash them or keep buying new ones. My wife is paranoid about 'waxy' towels in her washing machine.

I wash them with bleach, softener, and detergent separately from clothes.

Have been using NXT since the first day it came out. Love it, though it clings dust to the car easy but I have a Cali duster for that.

No circular motions, since those spiral micro scratches are easier to see.

Once you have applied the wax and let it haze over, what are you guys using to buff or remove the wax? Do you use circular motions to buff or straight? MF towels will work best?

I heard never use circular motions. Use straight lines. I used a lambskin polishing glove from Viking to wipe it off. Worked flawlessly.

Ya the smell is good. But also high quality wax as well. I wax my car once a month to keep that sleek shine and smooth surface.
