Default Mothers Billet Polish For Rims

I tried this today and the instructions said to rub it on until it turned black to see if it was a polishable metal. Well it never turned black. So what can I use to get these little minor scratches out of my rims lips. The rims are Volks, hope someone can help me out on this. THanks

They probably have a clearcoat on them.

Lol @ OP and clear coat.

If you've never tried this polish, I can attest to it. It is the best polish I have ever used. It will polish your non clear coated wheels to a mirror finish. It's pricey though. I just picked up my 2nd jar today at Pepboys for $16.99. One negative about it. It has a short shelf life. Roughly a year. After that it'll start drying up and flaking really bad...

Always remember to be careful when polishing anything that's clearcoated. Whether it's automotive paint or clearcoated wheel lips, if you polish too much or too aggressively, you run the risk or rubbing through the clearcoat and will be left with a dark spot which would require repainting to look new again.
