Default dont liek zaino can i top it with somehting??? not a newbie question

I ve been detailing for a while and have been using very high end stuff but figured id fall into the trap of zaino. I gave it a try and dont like it at all leaves an oily film all over my car so i wanna use my old stuff FMJ. Can i put anything over zaino and will is stick or jsut come off next wash???

I dont feel like stripping the car again but if i HAVE too i will

Zaino is in its own world, you should strip it off. I have used Zaino for almost 2 years now, never had an oily problem, hmmmm.

Stripping is one easy step, wash with dawn liquid and claybar if needed!

The only way to remove Zaino is with alcohol. Or, you can polish it with SMR, but I'd try the alcohol first.

As for a greasy film, I've never seen that either. The only way I could imagine that happening would be if you put it on real heavy and thick and didn't/couldn't give it time to totally dry.

I try to put one coat on my Z with 1/4 to 1/3 of the applicator bottle. If you're putting half a bottle on in one coat, then yes it is probably way to thick. Depending on temperature and humidity, it can take a long time for that much to dry and when it finally does, it's a b!tch to get off.

Zaino will never leave any type of grease on the paint unless you tried to remove it before it is dry and even then it is not a greasy film, it is just undried Zaino that is still on the surface, all you have to do is mist the paint with plain water and buff or wash the car with Z-7 and it will be right...................... Sounds like you just need some more time to get used to a new product, did you use Z-2 or Z-5, did you follow up with Z-6?

You're not letting it dry enough, that is why its leaving a residue. I have a black z and i've done about 23 layers so far, it was in the first few when i was first learning how to use it i got the residue.

Something definitely isn't right. If you used 1/4 oz. per application (+ 2 drops of ZFX) and let it dry for hours, it should have come off VERY cleanly. I generally start removing the Zaino after I finish getting it all put on. I guess it is always possible you got a bad bottle. Is there any Zaino users in your area that can help you out to figure out what is happening?? You can also call Sal Zaino and ask him about it.
