Default Removing Water Spots

Hey guys,

I was planning on removing water spots on my wife's black Grand Am using acetic acid (vinegar) this weekend. The question I have is, would I have to rewax the car over? I just clayed it and waxed it about a week ago, but I didn't seem to remove all the water spots. Does the vinegar remove the old wax? Thanks

Probably depends on what type of wax it is.

Rewax, it'll only take you 2 minutes in any event.

I would assume if it will take rust off steel then the pH acidity of vinegar would most likely remove the wax.

I didn't know vinegar could take out water spots - good to know.

Try vinager though i doubt it would remove it. You can hide it with zaino or remove it with a swirl remover (better if used with a pc buffer).

Nope, no harm at all. You can use straight vinager if your taking out a few spots but if you want to clean a large area you can mix it with water if you want.

...TIP......after fighting hard water issues and resulting water spots

1.) Meguires NXT Carwash solution has water softeners

2.) I dry with this "California Squeegee"....is like a window squeegee for your
car......"best thing since sliced bread"

Results.....water spots.......
