Default Cleaning wheels

I just got my Volk Gt-7s for a couple days now, it rained so the lip got pretty dirty. How should i go about cleaning? of course i could just spray it down, then what? Should I do anything else? wipe down with a regular towel?

The secret is to have several coats of a synthetic polish on their before putting driving on the wheels. It makes cleaning a million times easier. Just use regular car wash soap and water. Use an old wash mitt you no longer use for the body. I use a leaf blower to dry. I kind of have to with my wheels though, or water comes out of crevasses hours later, leaving a brake dust trail.

1st get new brake pads. second ive been using meguires quick detailer, its like a liquid spray on wax, first wet and clean then spray on the towel your using to dry, and its like waxing them. Not the best way but def the fastest if you clean them once a week

Windex will work but after awhile it will eventually eat at the finish on the wheels. It contains a certain amount of ammonia which is why it eats up dirt and grime from windows all while leaving a streak free trail. Ammonia evaporates rather quickly similar to denatured alcohol.

No Windex. +1 on the Meguires detail spray. It does a nice job and is easy to keep up. +++1 on the brake pads-OEM pad dust made me crazy. Replace them with a good low dust pad. I have Hawks and the problem is much improved, although not eliminated and never will be.

Jlimquest just hit the nail on the head.
I just got some wheelwax after getting tired of watching my Zs oem wheels turn black at day after just washing them.
I took the wheels off the car, Cleaned them with a strong soap to remove as much dust, grim and dirt as i could. I then let them dry and applied wheel wax.
I wouldnt say this product was great if it wasnt but this stuff = a must have.
Get some today.
