Taking off old owners clearbra?
I just got my Z and it seems like the previous owner put strips of clearbra on the front bumper. It looks dumb because the wax residue stuck to the sides of the strips makes it looks like there are lines in the bumper. I just want to get rid of the whole clearbra thing. Is there any special procedure? Can I just start tearing it off or will it ruin anything?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hold on now! The problem is that it isn't a "real" clearbra. It is the clearbra material, but it had been cut into about 6 or 7 pieces and then applied to the car. I don't know why. This makes it look like there are white stripes on the bumper, where there is wax residue. Bottom line, looks like crap. So then, just pull it off? There is nothing to worry about?
Use a blow dryer to get it started on an edge. Then mix a spray bottle of 50/50 water and rubbing alcohol. Spray under the edge as you peel it off. Use plenty of the spray. Wash the area well after your done to remove the residual glue.
