I dealt with the owner of the business himself...he treated me good.

He took a look at the hood, and was skeptical from the beginning, and said, "I'll do my best, next to having to refinish the entire hood."

He put in several layers of touch up, let it dry, wet sanded, and then polished. I think the guy is a perfectionist, as he kept shaking his head and mumbling to himself in disappointment. At the end, he said that Chrome silver is the WORST color for touching up. But, he also that it is the color that he would have chosen himself.

When completed, he said, "How does $25 sound?". That works for me.

For you guys in SoCal, i recommend this shop. http://www.autorecon.com

He refinished BillyV's entire bumper with great results.

I just had an Expel clear bra installed today. It is a very nice kit, they went to a lot of trouble getting the front bumper right. This is my second application of the 3M product. The first was on a 2000 S4. It still looks good today with only 2 or 3 rips on the front bumper. I drive 60 miles a day mostly hiway and the car takes a beating. My wifes A4 doesn't have any protection and she drives the same route. There are so many more chips in that car it makes you sick. I wouldn't have done it a second time if I didn't think it was worth it.

The guy who installed it took over 3 hours on it and he has been doing this for 4+ years. I wouldn't try to do this myself and it was easy to see why it is important to have a qualified installer.

Just had mikeinatlanta install a dynashield kit with venture film on my G35c today. It shows some cloudiness at first, but saw another g35c that he did yesterday and they go away quickly. Its a lot tougher, and looks just as good. Nissan of England is now endorsing venture over 3m, from what I have heard.

btw, if you are in atlanta, and want xpel, stongard or dynashield (the best design, imho), mikeinatlanta is a real perfectionist and the man to go to!
