Door panels
Sorry about this, because I believe there is a thread on this but I can't find it.
Does anyone know how to get the door panels to have an even surface look. I find that whatever I use, 303 protectorant etc. to treat the panels, causes them to come out blotchy. I know it's because of the texture of the surface
(all those little bumps) which seem to absorb the protectorant in an uneven manner.
Any help on this? Thanks

Wash the door panels with some slighty soapy water to remove the 303. In the future when you apply the 303 don't spray it directly onto the door or any other interior pieces. Spray it onto a cloth then spread it on the door panels from the cloth. This will help even out the application and prevent the blotchy look.

Use a cotton looped cloth like a bath towel or something with a "nap". Spray a small amount on the cloth, don't soak it. Then fold the cloth in half and rub the wet faces together to spread the liquid around so there will be no wet spots. Then briskly rub the damp face of the cloth to the door panels.
It does work - I've been doing it for 18 months now on my Z and don't have the problem anymore. I believe almost everybody here will tell you the same thing, you can't try to put it on too heavily or it will get splotchy.
