The soap solution is probably fine but the sponge is a NO-NO. Use a 100% terry cloth wash mitt or sheap skin mitt.

I agree with zwindsor. Use the sponge to wash your kitchen floors, but keep it out of the garage. All a sponge will do is add swirls.

Also, a cotton chenille wash mitt is good.

I hear the softest thing is a sea sponge, but haven't tried it. Anybody out there use one of these things?

stick to microfiber. I buy all my detailing supplies from www.properautocare.com
