Alright, just got new 350Z. What type of cleaning supplies is best for interior and exterior. I've done some research and a product called One Grand seems to be the best for detailing. what about interior, can you use armor all? Also what type of cleaning material, cotton or MF. Anyone know of any website that gives you cleaning information on 350Z's

There's no simple answer to your question but I can offer this advice - do NOT use armor all on the interior of your Z.

Everybody here has their own favorites - Zaino, NXT, Meguirers. You'll have to do the research and decide for yourself.

My personal choices are:
Zaino Show Car polish - exterior painted.
303 Aerospace Protectant - Interior, rubber seals, hoses, plastic, etc.
Meguirers Endurance Gel - tires.

The best site on the net for car care is http://autopia.org
Get the eBook on Detailing from there for free. It explains about 90% of what a beginner needs to know.

My preference for washing is a lambs wool mitt. Cotton chenile mitts are good too.
Dry with a waffle weave microfiber towel. I also like to use a leaf blower to get water out those hard to reach places - and the Z has a lot of them.
I use cotton terry cloth applicators for Zaino.
Remove with DF Towels (http://www.dftowel.com)

Two good sites for detailing and Zaino are:
http://crackaddict.com/~flynn/howtos/washhowto.htm
http://www.bol.ucla.edu/~kahn/drbonz.html

Some good sites for detailing supplies and information are:
http://www.autogeek.net/
http://www.premiumautocare.com/
http://www.properautocare.com/
http://www.bettercarcare.com/index.php
http://www.web-cars.com/detail/index.php

You came to the right place. There are a lot of knowledgeable Z owners here who are more than happy and willing to help.

armor all - my god no. Unless you smoke inside the car, I see little use for a special cleaning product. Why not try water and a lint free cloth?

and

just did a "quickie detail" on my 95 jeep with all megs OTC products and was simply amazed how good it came out...and how easy it was(no pics tho):

quick pressure wash
NXT liquid wax
gold class trim detailer
NXT glass gleaner
interior quick detailer (Door panel friendly)
NXT protectant (Don't use anything like this on door panels)

but for my Z I've been using the proline stuff - quality stuff, reasonably priced

The only 2 websites you need IMO:

www.zainostore.com - the best wax/polish/polymer/sealant
www.dftowel.com - the best towels

For cleaning the interior usually just a damp cloth will do perfectly fine...
