Default How to remove Zaino?

I've been Zainoing my car pretty religiously since spring. I would like to remove all the layers though and start over. I read Dawn will not remove Zaino. My question is, how can I remove it?

Would a clay bar session remove it?

The official method is to use Alcohol. You effectively remove it with abrasives like a swirl mark remover or cleaner-polisher. Claybar does not remove Zaino unless you do it wrong.

So ZPC then would be the way to take it off?

Second that. If you consider 100 percent isopropyl alcohol at bit severe, you can begin with a 50-50 mix of alcohol. A high concentration of Mr. Clean to water will also remove wax.

Yes, that would be ONE way to take it off. But, you really want to use the least abrasive method of removal. Remember, abrasives work by removing the clearcoat then paint. That should be your last resort.

zaino will most likely recommend zaino wax remover for $29.95.

You could remove it with alcohol, but if you wanted to start all over, Z-PC would give you a better surface with fewer scratches to begin with.

Well, I'm thinking of using alcohol to take it off first. Then using ZPC to better prep the finish. But thinking about it further, I used to polish this car at least once a month before I started using Zaino. I doubt I can better prep it...we'll see what I decide to do the next time I'm bored.

Yes, Dawn works for wax but not for Zaino as Zaino is not a wax.
