the meguiars water magnet is easier to glide across the car and literally grabs the water off the car...the absorber is a great product as well but isnt as easy to get the water off the car. after my first use of a water magnet-game over! cant see myself using another chamois or absorber again...

Looks like I'm gonna have to try this water magnet thing out. I've been an Absorber man for years now, but willing to try something new.

Any of the waffle weave towels are better than the Absorber. Have been using towels from Pak Shak and Autopia for the past two years. They worked great, but recently ordered and tried two towels from the Meguiars site. They work equally as well. Can dry the car without wringing out with one towel.

Are they diposable or reusable?

"Reusable"! I have had the Pak Shak and Autopia "Waffle Weave" towels going on two years. They get used a couple time a week. I use and clean the Mequiers towels in the same way. Wash with liquid detergent and hang dry. I found that they hold up better and absorb more by hang drying Vs throwing them in a dryer.

The Mr. Clean system? No. A couple of people tried it out shortly after it was released and posted reviews here. Their initial impressions were positive but after using it for a short while, they noticed that it appeared to dull their finish.

I went to PepBoys last night. No luck finding the "water magnet". I did see a bunch of other micro fiber drying cloths though. Nothing caught my eye. I guess I stick with the Absorber for now..... I did pick up some Mobile 1 synthetic though. $5.49 per quart! Ouch!!

I could not find at PepBoys, Checker or Autozone here in Albuquerque. I just went to the Meguiers site and ordered. If I can recall, $8.50 plus shipping. They are excellent!

Have you guys tried the California Water blade and then get the rest with a MF towel. I can dry my whole car in about 5min. It works great. Plus no wringing out of the towel or anything.
