Default Drying towels

I am going t purchase some towels to dry my car. I have looked at the Sonus Ultimate drying towel and the Big Blue towel. Are both of these good? Is one better than the other?

I like my chamois. Old stuff but dries real good, and it was cheap so if it ever falls on the ground i just buy a new one for 3 or 4 bucks.

You can't beat a large waffle-weave microfiber for drying!

All of the Sonus towels are top notch. All of them passed the CD scratch test and none have scratched my black Acura TL.

I use Microfiber Cloth. Like DavesZ#3, I use it too. I use a Toro Leaf Blower to blow off the water and a micro cloth to finish drying it. Use a micro fiber wash mit also. Use micro cloth to wax it additionally. No Swirls to deal with.

Good note there Wayneside. I use the mequiars #1 paint cleaner, #2 polisher, and #3 caruba wax.

I currently use the Absorber, how would you compare it to the water magnet?

I have now used the Absorber, Water Magnet and Waffle Weave from PakShak. While the towels from PakShak are larger than the Water Magnet, both are better than the Absorber.

Leaf blower gets the water out of cracks and crevises so it doesn't drip when you start driving. Plus, you only need to use one small microfiber towel to finish getting the water off. Back when all I used to dry my car was micro fiber towels I was going through 3-4 towels before I was done.

Remember to "use a final rinse of free-flowing water (nozzle off the hose) allowing the water to sheet off the car."1 This greatly reduces the water left on the car and is worth the time it takes to shut off the water remove the nozzle and turn on the water to low pressure.
I follow up with a waffle weave from pakshak. If you sheet the water off the car 1 towel will dry the whole car without having to wring it out.

Leaf blower and DF Towel. I don't trust non-cotton towels on the paint surface.
