In between washes - whats the best?
I have a Black Z and live in Texas. If you know Texas it doesnt rain a whole lot. This brings me to the question. What would you all use to "dust" the car in between washes? You see - I dont have time to wash it once a week, every week, but while my car sits in my work parking lot it gets a little dusty. Is there a good way to whipe her down a little with out scratching the paint with the fine layer of dust that has accumulated? Dont get me wrong, this dust isnt caked on nor does it look too bad. In fact, from a distance it still looks great. I think I've seen car dusters at the discount stores, but do they really work? Thank you all for any input!

As a rule of thumb, DONT TOUCH IT!
A black car will show every scratch. If you drag ANYTHING across dirty/dusty paint you will scratch it. It's the same way on every car but black really shows it.
I would recomment taking it to a pressure wash and make sure you specifically use the Super Soap option first to wet the car down then high pressure soap or skip to high pressure rinse. If you want to avoid water spots then make sure you final rinse with 'spot free rinse'. I would only do this by hand with the 'wand' because I have heard horror stories about guide rails and wheels.
Then, when you get a chance to wash the car by hand, make sure you wax or at least 'quick detail' (Eagle One is my favorite quick detail brand) after drying the car. This will make the pressure wash in-between washings work better. And make the black look it's best.
A lot of people would say to use a California duster but I stand firm on my opinions... which is to say I don't recommend it.
Hope this helps.

I have been using a California Car Duster since about 1986 and I have never scratched my car with it, I buy a new one every year and pass the old one down for use on my daily driver and not my black show car. Used correctly you will not hurt the finish, I have owned a black car every day of my life since about 1987 and I would not show cars as I do or own a black car without owning a California Car Duster, people get into trouble however with the duster in putting too much pressure against it and the paint. You only touch the finish with the bottom 1/4 ot 1/2 inch of the cotton strands.
And there are two different kinds of dusters, the ones you see at discount stores are indeed made by the California Car Duster people but is not the enthusiast model and not the ones I use or would tell anyone to buy. Below I have taken a picture of the good one (top one in pic) and the cheap one found at WalMart and AutoZone. You can get the good one from Summit Racing and is it always is disignated having a wood handle while the discount store one has a plastic handle:
