Default Paint Care

Ok, since its winter now, and I can't bear washing the car in the freezing cold weather anymore, where do I get it washed?

I don't want to go to an automated because I don't want the brushes in there banging up against my car. I don't want to go to one of the coin-op ones, because I don't want that brush to leave those tiny scratch marks all over my car.

Any ideas? What do you guys do?

Wash mine in my garage.....
If you dont have access to one I would suggest using the coin-op one, (dont use the brush) start on the rinse cycle, you might not get all the crap of the car but atleast you`ll be able to get most of the salt off....
Good luck!

I usually go to a coin op one but bring all my wash stuff with me (bucket, rags, etc). And I just use the pressure washer for the water.

I can't do it in my garage, its not big enough. Not to mention the hose is outside and probally filled with ice.

Another question, is when there is snow on it, is it better to just let it naturally melt off, or is pushing it off alright to do?

Sorry for the dumb questions, this is the first can i've ever had that I truely care about. My 2 cars before this were used, so i didnt' pay this much attention to them.

Freefallin: That's a REALLY good idea!

If its light snow, drive it off....
Otherwise, NO dont brush it off, as the dirt under the snow/ice will swirl your paint!!!

A high pressure car wash is OK. I would open the car after washing, and let water drain from the rear hatch and doors. With a handy towel, dry those areas. One potential problem is the door freeing closed, and not being able to open to them.
