Thumbs up Finished my first detail!

Long Sunday, about 6 hours on Raider Sunday. For those on the Marin run sorry I missed it this was arranged awhile back for my friend to come help. GO RAIDERS!

What we did,

Washed car with Dawn.

Claybarred the entire car with Carnuba Clay Bar and feathered some rubbing compound where I got the scratches (thread on these with pics.) Flattned them out where I had penciled in cover up paint, looks better.

rinsed

then my friend applied this gritty type of remover (forgot the name)

By bye orange peel (and there was ALLOT!)

rinsed and dried.

polished with McGuirer's Step 2 polish

put 3 coats of McGuirers Gold Class Liquid Clear Coat on the front and hood and rear end and flaps and 2 coats on the sides.

We used a buffing machine with soft pads, it helps!

Mcguire's Tire Gel on the tires, soap and water on my allow rims.

My friend wanted to use this stainless steel cleaner on the door handles (sort of like never dull but better) but we were not sure what the side door handles are made of.

Anyone know for sure????? He said it would add "bling bling"

Pulled it out for a pic and it was dark and it rained lol! Started at 11am!

Sucked. Pic is just ok, I will add a day time one when the sun decides to grace Sacto again!

night time pic here,

Love the Daytona Blue!
