Default exhaust soot

What do you put on the bumper to keep the exhaust soot from sticking?

Wax? If its just soot and not chemical burn, soot should come off an oily surface fine.

I simply clean the area every so often with a good cleaner-wax.

I had the same question, as I noticed my rear bumper had some black nasty stains on it last week. I asked a guy at local shop and he started telling me to put toothpaste on it and ****... lol.

I'll try some cleaner was this week...
