Roadster Top
I just bought an '04 Touring Roadster. The previous owner had the car "detailed" before selling it to me and the top looks crappy. They got some wax residue along the edges and they did a poor job of adding some kind of protectant– there is a "dry" strip about a foot wide down the middle. I assume they missed this area or something and that's why the sides look more "wet."
I would pretty much like to give the whole thing a thorough cleaning. I don't have a garage and I want this top to last a long time (as in forever). Does anyone have any recommendations? After reading many posts, it seems like Zaino is very popular but it doesn't look like they make a top cleaner (though I will be using the other products). I found out about RaggTopp from autotopia.com. Has anyone tried it?
BTW, possibly a very stupid question, but RaggTopp makes a special protectant for vinyl and a separate one for canvas. I'm nearly positive the Z is canvas, but what would a vinyl top look like?
Thanks in advance for help and suggestions.
