Default Products for Washing the Z?

I've been curious as to any premium products I could use to wash my Z. I live in the country, and our driveway is dirt/gravel ( ) so my Z gets dirty fast when its dry... But anyways, I just needed some imput on car products that could help keep my Z clean throughout the droughts and dust.

P.S. What is the proper washing material to use. I've read something about a microfiber towel. But not really sure what that is. Thanks.

There's a detailing forum for ...umm...detailing. Lots of suggestions there.

Check out the sticky post at the top of the Detailing forum for a good tutorial on how to detail the Z. You can also download a free eBook from Autopia.org titled "The Autopia Guide to Detailing", it has excellent info on all aspects of washing and detailing your car.

The quick answer is this...

Use a cotton chenille or lambs wool mitt for washing.
Wash only with a car shampoo or soap, never use dish detergent or powered laundry soap.
Use lots of soapy water - get a 5 gallon paint bucket.
Always wash from the top down.
Dry with a waffle-weave microfiber towel.

I've used these towels for three years now; same ones; they are great.

While there also look for smaller m/f towels for detailing.
